    Can members posting on this thread please explain to me why this thread is more visible than our San Jose rally thread.

    Is this issue so important to you? If you have some spare time, help spread media awareness about this rally.

    I personally think there is a possible ambiguity in the request (especially since we are dealing with a government agency). So we should probably bullet point the data we need at least and if people don't think there is any harm in putting in a table for the format of data needed that will make things very clear. I agree with you that breakdown of quarter/month is probably not needed and might actually hurt our chances of getting the answer within reasonable amount of time.

    Hear ya. Even though its repetitive,for the sake of clarity and to avoid ambiguity/frivolous answer, I have updated the document in google docs and the attachment by one of our other member prabhu.

    Hi, I think the best decision in current market is to go for GC with L1, following are positive points

    Applying GC on L1 is faster than applying with H1.
    You have your Job surity in India as well.
    Current market u need to run for Jobs, on L1 I feel its cool as there is responsibility of you r company to take care of you.
    If they start process now itself , you can get Labour cleared fast and I think u can change company after that. ( I dont know GC process but I got same advice, but I didnt listen).

    Reason people go for H1 is to have job with US companies than MNC's who pay more, if u r not really thinking of changing company then its better to be on L1 and apply for GC. Also a lot of fredom to move companies.

    Thanks for asking, if I were in your position I will go for L1 company to process GC, Since my company said they wont do it, I took the H1.

    Sir, you are a senior and active IV member and i respect that totally.
    but EB3-I dates are rolling on nicely, they are already oct 01 they will cross well in 2002.
    in june 07, they were at june 03. then this mess happened in july and eb3-i was almost frozen over the entire year. now its starting to thaw..

    you must have already written to congressmen and called them up, also communicated with ombudsmen, i would say, please just wait and watch.
    i'm not eb3 but eb2 but i'd say allow older eb3 to get out of this rut.

    OK. May be my post was little misguiding. I never intended to distinguish EB3 and EB2 situations. We all are in same boat. Just need to counter the issue - one of the proposal was to do a flower campaign. I am not sure you were on forum when we did last time. It was a huge success. I am requesting to do it one more time!

    I left a message for my previous employer. I am not sure whether they will provide this information to me.
    That is the reason I was asking you to try to find from your ex-employer if you could get any news.General procedure from what I have read is to issue a NOID but they have given you a RFE which keeps you alive for now.Maybe your ex-emplyer cancelled your 140 after 180 days but again all this is a shot in the dark and only your ex-employer has the answer for this.

    Did you read undocumented guys are trying to push their cause and by putting legals aside, which the goverment seems to be hearing. What makes you feel we must wait.. Just because you cannot contribute anything except for yourself. .People waiting for close to 10 years are usually in a position to create value and they are tied to this backlogs. We know EB2 is going at some pace.. How much time do you think is needed for EB2 to be in bin, into the same state as EB3 is in, right now.

    Oh, you are just mean now!:p

    I think there should be a big a** button on the top of this screen that says "donations for immigration causes" or whatever and those who feel they can afford to do it will do it, otherwise making paid membership a requirement will severely cut down on the number of people coming on here. Makes no difference to me, there is tons of forums like this online. This is my favorite so far though.

    What difference does the membership of people make if they do not understand the agenda/motive of the organization? May be you are being mean in not understanding the agenda and needs of your favorite organization.

    To be precise:

    USCIS will continue to issue the EAD in one-year increments when the Department of State Visa Bulletin shows an employment-based preference category is current as a whole or the applicant’s priority date is current.

    The Processing Dates are in Julys. Several applications are Augusts. Movement of Processings Dates are so slow that USCIS must have taken Processing Dates into account alongwith Priority Dates. There was a ball park figure from USCIS last year that it will take 18 month to process files.

    Today's Processing Dates are:
    TSC EB I485 Processing Date July 17, 2007
    NSC EB I485 Processing Date July 28, 2007

    Thanks Volemar for the reply. Do you have any official link for both these answers? I just want to apply EAD along with I-140 and I-485. I will not use EAD until the I-140 is approved. Every time I talk to my employer and attorney, they always ask me about the proof in form of any official uscis link for any damn thing.
    Any help would be highly appreciated.There could not be any official links for that. The question is too broad. Search Murthy.com and other lawyer web site about H1 and EAD.
    Also ask your lawyer what do they mean by "safer"?

    I agree with you. No images, KISS.


    Do we need images? Can't we just have text on a yellow paper with appropriate text highlighted? We want to emphasize on the text. Not sure what value add an image can have unless we have someone standing in a line outside a gc office with window and we could put something like .. another 5 years... The images has to be in sync with the text. I am not for putting a picture of the capitol hill so much. We have to emphasize on the problem. This is just my opinion.

    just spoke to our firms Immigration lawyer, per them, we will see more movement in Aug Bulletin and in Sept Bulletin we will see Retrogression back to May/aug 2005 for EB2

    reasoning was Oct # would be released so they r trying to capture as many # as they can

    I am april 2006 and it seems it will be a 1 yr wait for me now.

    Not only EB2, EB3 India also will move to April 2005, atleast for couple of months before this FY ends, to use the 140K numbers.

    I hope this happens. :)
