You will get the approval notice letter mailed to your home address. Please read it word by word. If they mention about "any ADIT processing" then schedule an appointment and do the ADIT. Other wise sit cool and your GC will be on your Way to your home address by ordinary post:cool:.
We got the same exact Email or online status update but we also got the Aproval notice which didn't say about anything about ADIT so we didn't worry and got the GC card the next day.

There are online spell-checkers available. Here is the one that I use all the time: http://www.orfo.ru/online/ (click on [Eng] icon in the top right corner if it appears in Russian). It only shows the errors and does not suggest the correct spelling, but hey - it's free. :)
Its not about not being able to find a free spell checker. Its about doing it amidst of 10 diff things. Hope that makes sense. Its good not to have spelling mistakes, but I wouldnt consider 1 or 2 typos as a big issue.

Last year when people were campaigning for the rally, some of the campaign slogans were "come to the rally and get gc now instead of 10 years later". That is pushing people's hopes up without reason.
The problem with such promises and anticlimaxes is, you will not be able to sustain their interest.
I think gceverywhere is trying to make an appeal, and just to attarct people to this thread, he named it fast track EB greencard. ;) His intentions are correct ... but the method he chose is not. If this becomes a trend, readers will have tough time.

don't take me wrong. this is your *homework* dude...something you have to do from your part - I would do some little research, check with dudes who are working on either firms, look back their little history. it is important for you just do that. or this is not the place to discuss who is best employer and best place to live. there are numerous forums do exists - you can google it.

Correct. PR does not have an expiration date. Even though GC itself has a validity period, failure to renew it does not have effect on your PR.

No amendments to strip the E-Verify language out of the stimulus bill were even filed, which is a huge victory for us. However, since things can change on the Hill at any moment, it is critical that you keep calling your own U.S. Representative to tell them you support the E-Verify language in the bill and hope your Rep. will help ensure that it remains in the bill.
The final vote on the stimulus bill should happen sometime late this afternoon or early this evening.
To be clear, there is currently no amendment to strip the E-Verify language.
Please go to your Action Buffet corkboard and click on the phone note. It will provide talking points to make it easier to make the phone call. And it names your Representative and provides alternative phone numbers to call.

RFE for I-140
I had applied for I-140 Dec last year(2006) EB3 and was checking for update and found that an RFE has been sent on Dec 12. To whom is RFE sent....My company had done all the paperwork...is it to our company lawyer or me....Please advise

I don't care about any in-state tution or financial assistance .
My question is, is it possible to even file for COS from H4 to F1 after getting F1 denied in India .
Here is the timeline
Nov 2010 - COS from H4 to F1 approved in US.
Dec 2010 - Went to india for F1 Stamping and it was denied.
Jan 2011 - Came to US on H4 visa .
Now is it possible to apply for COS to F1 again ? . Will the F1 denial in India have any impact on COS to F1 processing ?
Yes, you can. Since the person is already in the US, this should not be a problem. One of my friend's wife lost her H-1 job, applied for a school here, got her I-20 and went to India for F-1 stamping. When it got denied, she applied for F-2 visa (as my friend was in F-1), and then after coming back to US, changed back to F-1 and went to school. Then she found a job on OPT and now is back on H-1.
"Status" and "visa" are two different things. A "visa" is only required for entry to the US.
I am not sure if the earlier denial of visa stamping will have an affect on a COS application.

I will be travelling to India for 3 week trip and will be coming back on Oct 12 ( My current AP expires on Oct 30 2008).
Since H1B visa stamp already expired on my passport , I would like to use my AP while reentry on Oct 12 at the port of entry .
Even though I have approved H1 B documents , expires on March 25 2009. But Iam not planning for HIB stamping due to my short trip
I have not used my EAD And I want continue be on H1 B status by applying extension of H1 B as soon as my arrival .
do you see and problem with this plan of REINSTATE MY HIB status by extension , since I would like to be on HIB status till I get my green card
My atty say go fo H1 stamping as H1 extention (REINSTATE MY HIB may need extenstive processing and apply status change from AOS to H1B visa

Yes, lets hope the removal of AC21 in CIR has been reversed !
Regardless EAD and AP are not affected by Priority Date. (Neither is I485 processing - I believe that as long as the PD is current, it is treated on an Receipt date of I485 - another benefit of filing I485 asap)
