...trust me, there are very very few who would have bought a house with GC pending.,.
I also used to think so, but in reality many people waiting for GC have bought houses already (on an IV poll ~50% of some 500 respondents)

Even USCIS has pre adjudicated all AOS cases , DOS will not be in good shape to predict perfect cutoff date ever. WHY ?? Every year in Sep DOS move dates forward in order to prevent visa waste. Lets say because of these pre adjudicated DOS knows that they are 10k pending app before Sep 2004 and supply is 7k. Still they will move date till 2004 Oct just to give room to USCIS. If they move date to July 2004 which has 7k app and supply is also 7k and some how USCIS has problem approving some cases because of some reason then they will waste few visas.

In Oct they moved date forward little bit because DOS think USCIS will not be ready with those left over case from 2004. Finallly, my online status changed from "Initial review" -> "Document production" and also got email from Senator's office that my case is approved.
I think I got it....but not 100% sure yet...no approval emails yet... or no other proof.

Hi Gurus,

After 5 years of waiting, my Labor got finally aproved thru Dallas BEC(EB3, RIR, PD: Oct'02). But my wife is in India on vacation and as per original plan will return middle of August.
1. What are my options so I can take advantage of the PD being current for me?
2. can I apply for I-140 and I-485 and then apply her I-485 when she returns?

i got no email, no slip, so i dont know if its stuck in PIMS or some checks ???
And if its really NOT PIMS and something else, then how long does one estimate ?? how long could an administrative processing take ? how long could security check take ? how long could name check take ? etc etc..

I am a silent visitor of this website.
Just my 2 cents... Don't think USA is like India where you can do something forcefully. Why don't you guys understand the real problem of USCIS.
Do you think that by sending flower to USCIS will force them to make EB2/EB3 current for 2005/2006/2007 guys??
Please try to understand their problem.
Also India is the great. Why don't you guys just think that India is your home country where you are born and brought up. Why you people can't just wait and watch?? If nothing happens to the so called GC, then why don't you think to pack up and go back to India???????
My sincere request, please don't do rally, you might be arrested......you never know what they can do..... Don't you think that, it is better to go back to India rather than being embarrassed here in US???

I got the CPO email first. In another days 6 days got welcome mail. Then the status changed back to post decision activity. 5 days from there, I got the cards. Even today the status says the same.

I am so emotional now........just got the email, text message and message on the website changed to "Decision"

My case was in NSC. No additional fingerprinting, except one in Oct 2007, my son had to do one since he turned 14 this year....
14 years of wait is over......Praise be to God for his faithfulness and mercies

Friends,
Finally we got our receipt numbers today from the Check Images. Our Application reached USCIS on 07/03 by USPS Mail. Don't know who signed it. Have been waiting for it patiently. All our receipt numbers start with SRC so from Texas. My I140 was approved form Texas and there was an LUD on the I140 on 07/28.
All the best for whom ever is waiting for the receipt numbers. You guys should get it pretty soon.

Will you guys stop this madness atleast now?. If US started bending rules for people who send flowers, then everyone will try to manipulate the system. There is a lot of difference between the circumstances of originla gandhigiri and now. :rolleyes: That was our country back then, for crying out loud.We are in a foriegn country and the issuance of visa a previlege not a right.Why cant you guys understand this simple fact?. Mexico has over 2000 cases in April 2001 yet its PD is May 1st 2001
India has less 500 cases in April 2001 yet its PD is Apr 15 2001
This along with CIS giving "bad/incorrect" data to IV is indication of someone's malicious intentions.
I appreciate IV's effort in getting FOIA executed and now working on aftermath of it.
For people who are angered with whats been going on in last couple of days. All I can say is to try volunteering for IV even for a month.
