my kids received finger print notice in 1st week of feb 2008 where as my self and my husband got it in Oct 2007

and we were told by my attorney FP is not required for kids below 14 0r so

we didnot try to call USCIS

On paper, the D2X looks really great and certainly meets my expectations. Only time and testing will tell and I'll wait for the verdict to come in before I buy one. However, I'll be saving my pennies in anticipation that this camera will perform well. Nikon has not released any price information to their dealers but one told me to expect this puppy to be in the $4000 - $5000 price range.

If this is as good as it looks perhaps Nikon users will be in the same boat as Canon users when it comes to finding new and used lenses. Now might be the time to pick up some good "surplus" Nikkor lenses that are all over the place.

I see that the D2X will be using a CMOS sensor instead of a CCD. As a relative neophyte to digital photography I'm curious as to why they did this.

Anyway, these are exciting times and this is exciting news. Hopefully the D2X will be a superb performer and I'll only have to buy the body instead of changing brands and having to buy everything all over again.

I might send them a couple of recommendations. One of them has to do with issuing receipt notices the same day or next day instead of waiting for weeks by using bar-code technology in forms. I will post a copy of email here once I send it.

You can do Info pass and ask for both. Alternatively, you can try calling USCIS when your priority date is current and ask for this information. If you are lucky, they will tell you whether or not there are any security checks are pending. People noted that there are no LUD when NC gets through. On the other hand, if one has a FP and a couple of days later there is a LUD on I485, that often means FP cleared. Remember that FP and NC are completely separate tasks.

Please see below I-140 ref. I do understand that they need me to submit an experience letter including employment date and specific duties, but how to handle the second evidence? If the specific duties on my previous employer�s experience letter already includes those H14 specific skill and other requirements, is that enough? Or I will still need to find something else to support/proof them? Thanks!

"Submit evidence that the beneficiary obtained the required three years of experience in the job offered before January xx, 2010, the priority date. Evidence of experience must be in the form of letters from current or former employers giving the name, address, and title of the employer and a description of the experience of the beneficiary, including specific dates of the employment and specific duties.

Submit evidence that the beneficiary obtained the specific skill or other requirements as indicated on the labor certification, page 3 of 15, #H.14. Please provide proof that the specific skills or other requirements were acquired prior to the priority date."

Hi,

Myself and my wife applied for 485, 765 and 131 on Aug 13th and we got receipt notices on Oct 5th.

But we got only 485 & 131 for my wife and i got 765 and 131.
485 Receipt is missing for me and 765 is missing for my wife.

We haven't got any mail today also i.e. Oct 6th. Any thing similar happened to anyone?

When we will get other receipts. If at all they are missing can we contact USCIS to send them again?

There is no issue if your wife is the derivative applicant and gets her EAD through you. You can also start but it is more complicated since your business has to be doing excatly the same thing as your labor application. Also, i think you should get lawyers advice if you are starting it. There is no complication for your wife to start a business.

We are currently evaluating our options of starting a business on EAD, which should be coming within 3 months of filing of I485 in July. Does anyone know if I or my wife can start a business on EAD, are there any issues with it?

Unfortunately, the only solution is to take your camera to a Nikon repair center. It seems that the D2H's meter failing is alarmingly common, from what reports one reads online. If your camera is yet under warranty, then you're in luck. Otherwise, it may be a US$200 - $300 repair. :(

No difference. You pay more for 1 yr textensions as you have to do 3 times as compared to 3yr extension. No lawyer will advise you to go for 1 yr if you have an approved I140....

Hi. I just e-filed my I-539, status of change request from F-1 to H-4. I just found out that I chose "North Korea" for my citizenship, while it was supposed to be "South Korea". I chose "South Korea" for the passport issuance country.

How can I fix this? Should I attach a letter explaining this, when sending the supporting documents? What else supporting documents should I submit, other than my husband(H-1)'s paystub, I-129 approval notice and our marriage certificate?

thanks to everyone here for the kind input, I am almost done with my GC application under NIW. Since I have a load of documents for primary evidence,
how should I arrange them and where should I mention the "table of contents" so to speak. I have a detailed cover letter also.

INS prefers or should I use the term "requires" a certain way of organizing documents using certain clips. You can search online for them. They do this because it helps in filing them the documents at their office.

Guys:
Just wanted to find out if you were aware if it makes any difference as to where you get your receipt from-- with respect to making an appointment(location).

What I mean is, would it be OK to get receipt from a HDFC branch in Mumbai, if you were going to make an appointment with New Delhi Embassy ?

Any experiences..?

It is common to all consulates and Embassy, it can be used anywhere, it will be drawn in favour of US Embassy, New Delhi. HDFC bank will issue you what they have to give, so don't worry.

I traveled (together with my family) through this route last year with the same circumstances you are in. There will be no problem and they won't ask you for any documents. If your flight on return is from Dubai to any US city, they will see your AP, Passport. If you have a valid AP at that time then they will allow you back.
